Mushrooms on display in a supermarket are often exposed to florescent light but usually a stack of brown paper bags is positioned nearby even if plastic bags are positioned near other fresh produce. Once taken home, I doubt mushrooms would get much exposure to sunlight. It would take an educational program and that is likely to require action by some mushroom growers association. Individual chefs would probably be too busy to place mushrooms near a kitchen window for awhile.
